They were stopped by the border guards of the Podilskyi detachment near the village of Zakharivka, Rozdilna rayon, Odesa oblast.

A border guard drone operator equipped with a thermal imager spotted the people heading across the field to the neighboring country and passed the information to the nearest border guard unit.

Border guards stopped the travelers, they were 34-year-old and 25-year-old residents of Chernihiv and Sumy.   

Reports on administrative offenses were drawn up against both of them. The cases were referred to court.
